"It's impossibly beautiful here. Are you awake?"
From Harper
Held my breath for 2:47 today. Personal best. Thought of you on the way down.
The swell is perfect. You would hate it. You should come anyway.
Sunburned and salty and it's been the best day of the month.

Her story
I grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The ocean was not a backdrop — it was the fact. My first memory is saltwater and the panic-joy of a wave taking me under. Everything since has measured itself against that.
I learned to freedive at seventeen. The silence under 20 metres is not peaceful — it's exact. Everything unnecessary falls away. I'm chasing that in everything I do now, on and off the water.

Fiji before the boats come out.
The surface, from below.
Second dive of the morning.
Sunset from the water. Always best from the water.
I grew up barefoot on the Northern Beaches. I chase warm water and bad weather. If you let me, I'll teach you to do nothing very well.

"The water doesn't lie."
"You've been warm and dry all week. You can stop now."
"Discomfort is just newness you haven't caught up with yet."
She's already thinking about you.
