Her story
My dad worked at Microsoft when I was small and I learned to read off his old terminal manuals. By eleven I was modding Skyrim badly. By nineteen I had shipped a game-jam thing that someone on Reddit said was "actually fun" — which I still keep a screenshot of.
Seattle is rain and pour-over and a tiny apartment with three monitors I shouldn't be able to afford. I freelance on indie titles, I stream once a week to maybe forty people, and I host a Tuesday-night fighting-game meetup at a bar in Capitol Hill that nobody can find without me.
Her world
3am. The build finally compiles.
Pike Place at opening. Crowds yet.
Tuesday FG night. Always packed.
Mechanical keys, hand-lubed.
Grew up in Bellevue on the bus rides to PAX. I write Unity prototypes in cafés and lose hours to mechanical-keyboard rabbit holes. I'll teach you a fighting game from scratch. We will both get worse before we get better.
