Legal & Policies

The fine print, written plainly.

Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and what we never do. We treat your conversations as something private — because they are.

Last updated · 25 June 2026

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what we need to make the experience work:

  • Account data — your email address and payment details.
  • Conversation data — the messages, voice notes, and images you exchange with your companion.
  • Memory data — structured derived facts (preferences, names, milestones) that your companion uses to remain coherent over time.
  • Usage data — basic session, device, and platform information.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To power your companion — her memory, her tone, her continuity all depend on it.
  • To improve the product. You can opt out of product-improvement use in your settings.
  • To process payments via our payment provider.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Conversations are retained for up to 30 days after you cancel — long enough for you to return and resume. After that window, they are deleted.

Memory data is deleted on account closure, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or financial reasons.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with a small number of trusted providers, only as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Twilio — SMS / WhatsApp / Telegram message delivery on the Intimacy tier and above.
  • Anthropic — the underlying conversational AI provider.
  • Google — optional sign-in via Google OAuth (only if you choose Continue with Google).
  • Yoti or Jumio — age verification for NSFW access (see below).
  • Amazon Web Services & Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and infrastructure.

5. NSFW Data Handling

Age-verification data is processed entirely by our third-party verifier. We receive only a boolean pass/fail result — we never store or have access to your government ID.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and the thirteen Information Privacy Principles it establishes. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights — we respond within seven business days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand (privacy.org.nz). Notifiable privacy breaches are reported to the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals in accordance with the Act.

7. Data Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict access internally to those who need it, and audit access. No system is perfectly secure; if we believe your account has been compromised, we will notify you promptly.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and minimal analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can manage cookies through your browser.

9. Children

Paramoura is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it immediately.
